NATO Has Been Fighting an Info War Against Truth for Over 15 Years
by Thierry Meyssan on Tue, Dec 6, 2016
This is a long story which extends over fifteen years. NATO first attempted to silence those citizens who were trying to discover the truth about the attacks of 11 September 2001. Then it turned on those who contested the official version of the «Arab Springs» and the war against Syria. One thing leading to another, it then attacked those who denounced the coup d’état in Ukraine. Now NATO is behind the accusations by a pseudo-NGO that the people who campaigned for Donald Trump are Russian agents.

Wash Post Won’t Retract McCarthyite Smear
by Norman Solomon on Tue, Dec 6, 2016
We still don’t have any sort of apology or retraction from the Washington Post for promoting “The List” — the highly dangerous blacklist that got a huge boost from the newspaper’s fawning coverage on Nov. 24. The project of smearing 200 websites with one broad brush wouldn’t have gotten far without the avid complicity of high-profile media outlets, starting with the Post.

The Ukrainian Far Right and Its Threat to Europe
by Lev Golinkin on Tue, Dec 6, 2016
It should be a priority for the incoming Donald Trump administration to reexamine America’s role in the Ukraine crisis. Over the past year, Washington has focused solely on Kiev’s failure to tackle Ukraine’s endemic corruption, while ignoring another fundamental obstacle to Ukraine’s democracy: the country’s far-right forces. In Ukraine today, power is split between Kiev and heavily armed ultranationalist battalions, which have a long record of not only clashing with Kiev but also defying the will of the EU and Washington.

Russia-Baiting, Putin-Scaremongering Democrats Now Suddenly Worried About Offending China
by Caitlin Johnstone on Tue, Dec 6, 2016
The Democrats, who have spent the latter half of this year loudly blaming Russian President Vladimir Putin for everything from the DNC leaks to Hillary Clinton’s defeat to Arrested Development’s mediocre fourth season, have all of a sudden transformed from a mob of screaming, frenzied Joseph McCarthys into a bunch of tender-hearted grandmotherly diplomats now that Donald Trump has broken with executive tradition and accepted a phone call from Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen.

Cold Warrior Pat Buchanan Says Russian ‘Fake News’ Meme Is a Load of Bunk
by Dean Parker on Tue, Dec 6, 2016
When it comes to the strength of their Cold War convictions Pat Buchanan is up there in the highest echelons, up with Harry S. Trumam, the butcher of Pyongyang and Rocky Balboa, the vanquisher of Ivan Drago. There are few men who detested « the evil empire » more than this speechwriter for Nixon and Reagan and supporter of the Vietnam War. So with the Russian propaganda brouhaha this Russkie-hating national treasure of a man has of course proclaimed Moscow is obviously back to its old Soviet tricks trying to infiltrate the minds of vulnerable Americans with filthy communist lies. — Except that ha has not.

Pentagon Learns How to Save $125 Billion, Decides Against It
by RT on Tue, Dec 6, 2016

Is Vladimir Putin Weaponizing Fighter Jet Crashes?
by Mark Nicholas on Tue, Dec 6, 2016
Russia has lost a second fighter jet operating from its only carrier in three weeks. What could be the reason? Perhaps the Admiral Kuznetsov just isn’t that great of a ship. In fact it probably isn’t (might be better after a refit though). In its 25 years of service it has spent far more time in port being repaired than out sailing. Which incidentally also means that Russia doesn’t have very many experienced carrier pilots and zero experience flying real strike sorties from a flat top.

Is Donald Trump Really Only a Showman Who Will Prepare the USA for War?
by The Saker on Tue, Dec 6, 2016
Let me begin by immediately say that I have the utmost respect for F. William Engdahl and that I consider him a person far more knowledgeable of US politics than myself. Furthermore, I want to also make it clear that I am not going to refute a single argument Engdahl makes in support of his thesis simply because I believe that his arguments are fact-based and logical.

In Emotional Outburst, Russia Just Accused the US of Murdering Its Doctors in Aleppo (Videos)
by Dean Parker on Tue, Dec 6, 2016
Yesterday a Russian mobile hospital was hit by shelling literally just days after it was set up to provide assistance to civilians in Aleppo. The attack killed one nurse on the spot and wounded a doctor, and another nurse, as well as a number of civilians receiving treatment. The second nurse later succumbed to her injuries.Russians have laid the blame for the attack squarely at the feet of the US, Great Britain and France. Russian Minister of Defense in an emotional and direct statement accused the United States of both providing the rebels with the coordinates of the Russian hospital as well as providing the weapons with which it was hit:

This Russian Nuclear Submarine Has a Very Special Mission: Kill American Aircraft Carriers
by Sebastien Roblin on Tue, Dec 6, 2016
Russia’s enormous Oscar-class nuclear attack submarines, known as the Project 949A, were designed during the Cold War with a specific mission in mind: to go hunting for American aircraft carriers, the pride of American naval power.Because each U.S. flattop is protected by its own little fleet of escorting warships—many of them specialized in antisubmarine warfare—the Oscar’s primary game plane isn’t to creep up close for a torpedo attack.Instead, it’s designed to lob enormous anti-shipping cruise missiles (ASCMs) from hundreds of miles away.

Here We Go Again: Russia Is ‘No. 1 Threat’ to United States, Air Force Secretary Claims
by RT on Tue, Dec 6, 2016
The Secretary of the US Air Force has once again claimed that Russia is the “No. 1 threat” faced by the US, with several defense officials expressing similar opinions. It follows promises by US President-elect Donald Trump to improve relations with Moscow.“Russia is the No. 1 threat to the United States. We have a number of threats that we’re dealing with, but Russia could be, because of the nuclear aspect, an existential threat to the United States,” Air Force Secretary Deborah James told Reuters at the annual Reagan National Defense Forum on Saturday. She went on to speak of “very worrying” incidents of “very dangerous airmanship” by Russia, as well as alleged cyber-attacks by Russian hackers on US institutions.

The West vs Russia: Towards the End of Pax Americana?
by Prof. Vladislav B. Sotirovic on Mon, Dec 5, 2016
A peaceful dissolution of the USSR according to the agreement between Mikhail Gorbachow and Ronald Reagan in 1988 in Reykjavik brought a new dimension of a global geopolitics in which up to 2008 Russia, as a legal successor state of the USSR, was playing an inferior role in global politics when an American Neocon concept of Pax Americana became the fundamental framework in international relations. Therefore, for instance, Boris Yeltsin’s Russia capitulated in 1995 to the American design regarding a final outcome of the USA/EU policy of the destruction of ex-Yugoslavia in November 1995 (the Dayton Agreeement) followed by even worse political capitulation in the case of Washington’s Kosovo policy that became ultimatelly implemented in June 1999 (the Kumanovo Agreement).
