Make No Mistake, Russia Remains the Only Target of NATO’s Nuclear Weapons
by Brian Cloughley on Mon, Dec 5, 2016
Britain, China, France, Russia and the United States are the world’s five «nuclear weapons states», a description officially recognised in the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), which lays down that «each nuclear-weapon State Party to the Treaty undertakes not to transfer to any recipient whatsoever nuclear weapons or other nuclear explosive devices…»

Kerry’s Last Diplomatic Push on Aleppo: Another US Deception?
by Stephen Lendman on Mon, Dec 5, 2016
Throughout made in the USA conflicts in Syria and Ukraine, Washington systematically undermined Russia’s good faith efforts for responsible resolution.America can’t be trusted, vowing one thing, doing another, notably, under Obama, Bush/Cheney and the Clintons, waging permanent wars on humanity, rejecting peace and stability. It’s unknown if Trump intends changing things, diverging from longstanding policy, wanting to be a peace, not a warrior president. The way he goes will be the measure of whether he fulfills lofty campaign promises or governs as the latest in a long line of leaders following agendas similar to their predecessors.

The Epic History of Russia Beautifully Illustrated Year-by-Year (VIDEO)
by Simon North on Mon, Dec 5, 2016
This beautifully illustrated and produced multi-part series of videos from the YouTube channel « Epic History » gives a great overview of Russia’s incredible millennium old saga. Using a timeline and with the narrator describing the action on the map, it covers the major events and personalities of Russia’s past, from the first appearance the Rus people and their ancient state centered around Kiev and Novgorod, through the emergence of modern Russia and ending with the assassination of Emperor Alexander II in 1881 (a part 5 is apparently planned).

Euronews: EU’s Own Propaganda Outlet Stands Accused of Pro-Russian Bias
by Paul Robinson on Mon, Dec 5, 2016
There has been much discussion in the Russian media this week of a resolution by the European Parliament calling on the European Union to develop a ‘strategic communications’ plan to counter propaganda from the Russian Federation and the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS). This follows a report issued last month by the policy department of the EU’s Directorate General for External Policy, entitled EU Strategic Communications with a View to Countering Propaganda.

Mr. Trump: Use Your America-First Instincts to Pick a Secretary of State
by Michael Scheuer on Mon, Dec 5, 2016
Because, Mr. Trump, you will set your own foreign policy, the main tasks for the next secretary of state will be to execute that policy and to purge the Department of State of those who have, for so many decades, championed the causes of foreign countries and have plied those foreigners with taxpayer money that should have been spent at home. In simple terms, if American taxpayer money is to be spent to make life better for people, those people can only be Americans.

Zhirinovsky Gave an EXCELLENT, Prophetic Speech About Ukraine – in 1998! (Video)
by Paul Kaiser on Mon, Dec 5, 2016
Love him or hate him, he is brilliant, a great orator, and one of the smartest people on the Russian political stage. In this blistering speech from 1998 he argues that the newly formed country of Ukraine is completely controlled by the US, that it is not a real country and never was, that Kiev is Russian, and that Gorbachev is a traitor. He explains the history of the Ukraine, how parts of it were seized by the Catholic church working through Polish proxies. It is good stuff. Well worth a listen. The interesting thing is that what he is saying here all became widely discussed and understood only 16 years later when Ukraine broke into civil war.Well worth a listen.

The Pizzagate ‘Gunman’: A Classic Media Hatchet Job
by Rudy Panko on Mon, Dec 5, 2016
For dutiful, passive news consumers, « Pizzagate » is synonymous with « fake news invented by neo-Nazis on the Internet. » And after yesterday’s « gunman attack » at Comet Ping Pong Pizza, anyone who doesn’t goose-step to the Fake News Narrative will be labeled as dangerous and unhinged. But when you deconstruct the cartoonish depiction of what transpired in D.C. last night, the entire narrative falls apart.

Media Which Cheers on Syrian ‘Moderate Rebels’ Won’t Go Near Them, Why Is That?
by Russia Insider on Mon, Dec 5, 2016
If you are a westerner and you wander into rebel-held Syria you have very good chances of ending up in the trunk of an automobile. There are a variety of rebels on the ground. One part is happy to hold foreigners for ransom and the other part won’t do anything about it except maybe tip off the would-be kidnappers.Mainstream media — the very same media which is selling you the imagine of « moderate rebels » fighting for democracy, freedom and the American way — is acutely aware of that. That is why it stays the hell away from any rebel-held territories. That however doesn’t stop it from somehow being able to report tons of news from these areas — mainly about Russians bombing bakeries and kittens.

The US Navy is Spending Money Like a Drunken Sailor
by Jonathan Marshall on Mon, Dec 5, 2016
The world’s mightiest navy is at risk of being sunk — not by a superior enemy, but by its own inability to acquire ships that work at a price that even the richest military on the planet can afford.

On Russia, Trump’s Top Advisor Has a Split Personality
by Russia Insider on Mon, Dec 5, 2016
It’s safe to say Trump’s Russia policy is an unknown. Quite likely the man himself — who has said a friendship with Russia would be a good thing, but also expressed willingness to shoot down Russian jets in the Baltic — doesn’t quite know yet what shape it will take.To make things even less clear, his National Security advisor Michael Flynn is exactly alike. Joshua Kucera over at Eurasia.net reminds us he has been all over on Russia.Firstly, chances are Flynn is going to have Trump’s ear:

It Begins: Flash Mobs Singing IN RUSSIAN Popping Up All Over East Ukraine (Videos)
by Oscar Platt on Mon, Dec 5, 2016
A prediction: The ‘Trump effect’ now sweeping Western Europe will see the neocon-backed government in Kiev swept out of most of Russian-speaking Ukraine within a year. The Nazis will keep the Western provinces, while the bulk of the country, including quite possible the old Russian capital, Kiev, will return to friendly relations with their fellow countrymen in Russia.

Big Media Is Lying Through Its Teeth on Aleppo
by Marko Marjanović on Mon, Dec 5, 2016
In just one week now the Syrian army has forced the retreat of Islamist rebels from 60% of land they held in eastern Aleppo prior. This is a welcome development for anyone who doesn’t harbor a soft spot for jihadis but has sent the mainstream media into panic.

Trump’s ‘New Foreign Policy’ Must Abandon Regime Change for Iran
by Ron Paul on Mon, Dec 5, 2016
President-elect Donald Trump told a Cincinnati audience this week that he intends to make some big changes in US foreign policy. During his “thank you” tour in the midwest, Trump had this to say:“We will pursue a new foreign policy that finally learns from the mistakes of the past. Clinton’s ‘Russia Did It’ Cop-out
by Robert Parry on Mon, Dec 5, 2016
The Clinton machine – running on fumes after Hillary Clinton’s failed presidential bid – is pulling out all remaining stops to block Donald Trump’s inauguration, even sinking into a new McCarthyism. In joining a recount effort with slim hopes of reversing the election results, Clinton campaign counsel Marc Elias cited a scurrilous Washington Post article that relied on a shadowy anonymous group, called PropOrNot, that issued a “black list” against 200 or so Internet sites, including some of the most respected sources of independent journalism, claiming they are part of some Russian propaganda network.

Leading UK Financier Blasts Government for Making a Mess of Russia Relations (Peter Hambro)
by Jason Corcoran on Mon, Dec 5, 2016
Investors led by gold-mining tycoon Sir Peter Hambro lined up at an event in Westminster to castigate the British political establishment for not doing enough to repair tattered relations with Russia. Hambro, a City grandee and chairman of gold-miner Petropavlovsk, criticised the British political establishment for “a lack of understanding” of the reality of doing business on the ground in Russia.“Lugovoi, Litvinenko all happened a long time ago and should be forgotten,” Hambro said at the event on November 30, referring to the alleged murder in London of former FSB Alexander Litvenko by Russian businessman Andrey Lugovoi. “We should now be looking at a more collaborative effort.”
