Stealth Fighter Showdown: China’s New J-20 vs. Russia’s T-50 PAK-FA
by Dave Majumdar on Thu, Nov 3, 2016
China’s J-20 stealth fighter is making headlines around the world–and for obvious reasons. While the plane has been seen in various testing phases for some years now, the aircraft just made its official debut at an airshow in China–a symbol of Beijing’s growing military muscle.Combined with China’s new aircraft carrier (with a second now nearing completion, the first built in a Chinese shipyard, by the way), various types of advanced antiship weapons, multiple versions of advanced submarines and more, Beijing clearly is on a course (many argue already is) to become one of the world’s most dangerous military powers, alongside Russia and America.

Why Russia Should Oppose NATO’s New Plan for Cyprus
by Aris Petasis on Thu, Nov 3, 2016
The Cyprus problem is a Russian problem as well. The current purblind negotiations, ostensibly between the two Cypriot communities (82% Greek and 18% Turkish), are strictly directed by NATO under the watchful eye of 40,000 Turkish occupation troops that hold 37% of Cyprus’s land and 54% of its shores. At every major juncture in Cyprus’ recent history one finds the obsession with Russia of Britain and its successor in the Eastern Mediterranean (EM), America. The Russia factor featured strongly in 1878 (and before of course.) In that year the Ottomans ceded Cyprus to Britain in exchange for United Kingdom’s military support to the Ottomans (read: Turkish) should Russia attempt to take possession of territories of the Ottomans in Asia.

by Pravoslavie.ru on Thu, Nov 3, 2016
Religious faith in Russia never grew more intensively than in the past three decades, believes Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk. The head of the Department of External Church Relations (DECR) spoke about religious faith in Russia, and its history and revival in recent decades at a meeting with a group of professors and 250 students from Italy on October 11, 2016, reports the DECR’s website.“The epoch which we call ‘the second Baptism of Russia’ begun in our Church in 1988. Russia: The West Is Trapped in Its Own ‘Propaganda-Created World’
by James Holbrooks on Thu, Nov 3, 2016
As the American corporate media continues to tow the official line that Russia is working to undermine U.S. elections, the head of the U.K.’s MI5 spoke with the Guardian on Tuesday. It was the first time an acting spy chief has given a newspaper interview in the agency’s 107-year history, and the subject matter important enough to prompt such an atypical occurrence was hardly a surprising one — Russia.Or, more accurately, Russia as the big bad enemy.

Derangement Spreads: Will a Putin-Inspired Trump Invade Canada?
by Paul Robinson on Thu, Nov 3, 2016
Why are Hillary Clinton and her supporters so obsessed with Vladimir Putin? Do they actually believe that Donald Trump is taking orders from the Kremlin? Or has somebody in the Hillary campaign team decided that the Putin meme is a vote winner and given instructions that everybody is to mention it? If it’s the latter, it’s not working. With a week to go to the US presidential election, Clinton is actually behind Trump in the latest polls. Her response? Double down on the Putin theme. Accuse FBI director James Comey of being a Russian agent, and spread unfounded rumours of a connection between Trump and Alfa Bank. It’s all a little desperate.

Exclusive Video: Russia’s Nuclear Fuel Industry Leaves US Far Behind
by Simon North on Thu, Nov 3, 2016
There has been much ado in western media about one of the latest examples of Putin’s « aggression » – suspending the agreement with the United States on disposal of weapons-grade plutonium. Under the agreement, Russian weapons-grade plutonium was shipped to the US.Although the direct cause of the suspension is an asymmetrical response to US aggression and obstruction of the fight against terrorists in Syria, it also makes sense from the point of view that Russia is actually capable of recycling the plutonium itself – something the US has no current capability to do.

Hillary Clinton Has Poisoned American Politics With Russia Hysteria and Feeble-Minded Conspiracy Theories for Years to Come
by Justin Raimondo on Thu, Nov 3, 2016
FBI Director James Comey’s decision to reopen the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s mishandling of classified information has the Clintonites falling back on their tried-and-true response to all the revelations coming from WikiLeaks and other sources – it’s all a Russian plot. Except, this time, the hysteria has reached such a fever pitch, and the conspiracy theories are so unhinged, that the political discourse in this country will be poisoned for years to come.It started with Rep. Tim Ryan (D-Ohio), who told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer:
